Elections at Bamberg Toastmasters – Welcome our 6 new Club Officers
Toastmasters – where leaders are made. That’s the Toastmasters slogan.
“I thought it was about speaking and not about leading…,” is what you may be thinking.
The answer is: it is about both and many a Toastmaster has learned so much about leadership that they were able to further their career becoming an executive or even started their own business. This TM year six people get the chance to improve their leadership skills and help our club move forward successfully until June 30th, when from the 1st July the next officers team will be taking over.
Leadership roles at Toastmasters
Meet our officers below and see what they will be doing for the next 8 months.
Neel is our Club President and presiding the meetings will set the tone for the club. He will provide helpful, supportive leadership for all of the club’s activities. He will motivate, make peace and facilitate as required.
Alexandra is our Vice President Education. She will schedule members’ speeches and projects and serve as a resource for questions about education awards, speech contests, and the mentor programme.
As Vice President Membership Debbie will manage the process of bringing in guests and transforming them into members. She will initiate contact with guests, make them feel welcome, and provide them with the information they need to join.
Frank is our Vice President Public Relations and will promote the club to the local community and notify the media about the club’s existence and benefits it provides and whenever we do something newsworthy. He will update web content, keep us current on social media and write news releases.
Yanti will be performing a double role for the moment. As secretary she maintains all club records and takes the minutes at each club officers meeting. She is also in charge of keeping the member list current at World Headquarters. As treasurer she manages our bank account and submits membership-renewal dues to World Headquarters.
Axel is our Sergeant at Arms (also known as VP Stuff). He keeps track of the club’s physical property, such as the banner, lectern, timing device, and other meeting materials. He arrives early to prepare the meeting place for members, and he stays late to stow all of the club’s equipment.
We wish them lots of success with the tasks ahead.
Yanti
Great post!
